I have been neglecting my blog

My poor blog.  I have been totally neglecting and ignoring you.  Summer has been blasting by and I have just not spent the time on you that you rightfully deserve!

So, you know what I think we need?  A new clean fresh start!  I have wanted to switch to a blog site (a blog and website in one) for a while now and this seems like a great time to make that switch!

I am almost done and will be completing the move over in the next week or so.  I have several sessions I haven't blogged about yet and I am excited to do so with my new blog home!

So please do check back mid week.  I am going to be going live with my blogsite and a am going to be running a super special for  late summer mini sessions!

Fun Fundraiser

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing several familes for spring portrait fundraiser for the Grief Point Elementary PAC.  I want to thank those that participated, and I look forward to this fall when we have a Holiday themed promotion planned!

I had such a good time I wanted to extend it a bit and have a draw.  Everyone that came to the photo sessions will be in for some great prizes! Grand prize will be an 11x14 gallery wrap canvas (of the winner's choice image)! Secondary prizes will include professional grade prints, mini accordian albums and digital key chains.

I am also very excited to tell you that I am working on my new blogsite right now and hope to have it up and running next week.  I will then finally have more control over the size of my images and can show them nice and big!

Family

I love springtime!  Along with new flowers and newly budding trees, I also love meeting new families.  This little miss brought back memories of a spring many years ago (well only ten, lol) that I had my first baby.  Thank you the three of you for brightening my day.

My Silly Valentines

I don't like laundry...I spend too much time avoiding the mounds of boxes that are begging to be organized from our recent move.  Yup the bathroom can wait too.  I have been waaay too busy thinking and working on this year's Valentines for my two girls.  I could just grab those dollar store boxes of Princess and Hannah Montana cards, but no way.  I think that they would probably not much care, but I LIKE to spend the time and make their cards! 

...and avoid the laundry (my Mother would say that I can come up with a list of reasons to avoid it!)

So, the final layout of the cards hasn't been finished, but here are a couple pictures from the few minutes that they gave me on Friday.  Oh, and we had my youngest daughter's friend over, so she got caught up in it too!

Birthday Girl

I love birthdays, and who doesn't love first birthdays?  Just getting started on these from a couple days ago.  Cake smash pictures coming, but here are a couple to start.  Hard to believe this little cutie is already one!

Some more family images to share.  Great time to grab people over the holidays, these pretty ladies are not in town as often as we would like to see them, but I finally got to play with them a couple days ago.  Despite the overcast day we went outside a bit and then played with my studio set up too!

Family Time

Around this time of the year, I like to just play and do sessions for family and close friends.  Today I had my husband's cousin over with her two beautiful children.  As I am still attempting to get myself out of boxes, I set up in my largish dining room and used my new backdrop. Fun!

Merry Christmas! Giving is Awesome Update!

Merry Christmas to you and your families!  I hope you are having a wonderful day as we are here.  What a busy last few days I have had (as I am sure all of you have had as well).  Today I am announcing the recipient for the national Giving Is Awesome program that I took part in this holiday season.  I will be contacting the nominator today with the good news! 

Thank you for all that took part in nominating a deserving family, all of the submissions were all so worthy it was difficult to choose.  So difficult that I decided to increase the scope of my participation in the program and choose three families instead of the original one!  Again, thank you to everyone that participated, I appreciate it.

Since a blog post isn't complete without a picture, here is one of my girls at the Christmas Tree last night (shortly before they broke down from their sugar rush and had to be put to bed...lol!).

Teeny Miss C.

I spent some time with little Miss C. and her family today.  All of them.  Except I think one had her nose sliiiiightly out of joint, and it was quite the nose.  Thanks to all four of you, see you this weekend!
